Millions of fans follow esports daily all across the world. Field Level Media is releasing a series of overviews to expose fans to the most popular titles, teams, and personalities. The games cover various formats, competition kinds, and schedules.

Upcoming CS: GO Events

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, or simply CS: GO, is a multiplayer first-person shooter game published by software provider Valve. It was published in 2012 as the fourth edition of the Counter-Strike game series. Valve made the game free-to-play from December 2018. Every game mode played online supports matchmaking. This way, it applies the software provider's Anti-Cheat to thwart cheating and game players with comparable skill levels.

Upcoming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) Events

There are several tournaments scheduled for this year. These top tournaments feature the world's best players and teams. Some of the events have been confirmed, with venues and dates already set.

They also feature on top esport betting sites. As online esports betting grows, many online betting companies are including CS: GO events on their betting markets. There are also sites coming up to offer esport betting tips.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022

The PGL Major Antwerp, the first CS: GO Major of 2022, happened between May 9th and 22nd. The event is the first time a CS: GO Major has been held in Belgium. Twenty-four teams from around the world did battle for a prize pool of $1 million and the title of major champions.

The CS: GO circuit is full of high-quality competitions, but the majors continue to stand out. PGL, the same firm that organized the Stockholm Major in 2021, will run the 17th edition of the Valve-sponsored event.

The Swiss system will be used in American and European RMR events, with teams paired according to their tournament record. This European RMR has been split into two events, A and B. This split is due to many teams in attendance and the importance of the main slots on the line.

The progression and elimination matches will be best-of-three contests, with the remaining games being single-map affairs. If a team loses three matches in a row, they are automatically eliminated.
Challengers, Legends, and Champions are the three stages of the PGL Major Antwerp. The first two will take place behind closed doors in a studio setting, while the third will take place in front of an audience at Antwerp Sportpaleis, which seats 18,000 people.

IEM Intel Extreme Masters XVII

This edition will take place between May 30 and June 5, with a prize of $250,000. The event is a global esports competition series that takes place in countries all over the world. As of 2022, these esports championships are certified competitions sponsored by Intel. Turtle Entertainment is the company that owns the league. The league has been in existence for 16 seasons as of 2022. The season finals will be held in Katowice, Poland. Many cities worldwide host mid-season events, including Chicago, Shanghai, and Sydney.

BLAST Premier BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022

BLAST Premier Spring is one of the BLAST ecosystem's two seasonal CS: GO competitive competitions. With a total prize pool of $2,475,000, the entire circuit is earning a boost in prize money. The event's format is very similar to that of the previous year. The festival will take place between June 15th and June 19th.

Some stages of the BLAST Premier event will be played online this year. For that stage of the competition, there is a regional split. The event is one of the most important CS: GO tournaments. Teams compete for cash prizes and a spot in the Global Finals for the winner. At all BLAST events, the best teams are also awarded points toward the BLAST Leaderboard.

IEM Intel Extreme Masters XVII

Between July 5th and 17th, 2011, the IEM Intel Extreme Masters XVII will be placed in Cologne, Germany. This edition's prize pool will be $1,000,000. There will be two double-elimination groups in the format. The best three squads proceed to the knockouts, with eight participants in each group. The winners of the group stage advance to the semi-finals. As the top seeds, the runners-up from the group stage proceed to the quarterfinals. Finally, the third-placed teams in the group stage proceed to the quarterfinals too.

Other Occasions

There will also be several competitions later in the year. The locations for this event, however, have yet to be determined. Between August 19 and August 28, the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 will take place. The winner of the event will get $177,498 in prize money.

The ESL Pro League is a competition that takes place every year. ESL Pro League Season 16 will take place from August 31 until October 2. The winner will receive an $835,000 prize. The location of this event, however, has yet to be determined. Between November 23rd and November 27th, BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 will occur. This tournament will have a prize pool of $425,000. The BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 will be held in December. The winner will get $1 million for the tournament, which will take place between July 14th and August 18th.
