The LoL Worlds Pick鈥檈m is back for 2023, and it comes with a twist due to the newest Worlds format. In this article, we will cover everything from Crystal Ball predictions to the tournament rewards.

LoL Worlds Pick'em 2023: Crystal Ball Predictions, Pick'em Format, Leaderboard, and Rewards

Crystal Ball Predictions

Riot Games is bringing back the Crystal Ball for Worlds 2023. This feature allows you to make predictions about the future of the tournament and earn extra points and rewards. The Crystal Ball is divided into three sections:

  1. Act Now: You can make your predictions for 20 Worlds-related questions starting on October 4. The Crystal Ball picks lock at 9:15 CEST on October 10, so make sure to make your selections before then.
  2. Seal Your Fate: Lock in your picks before the window closes. Relying on The Coin won't salvage missed Crystal Ball opportunities.
  3. Reap The Rewards: After the World Final on November 19, you can see how you scored and earn rewards based on your performance in the Crystal Ball.

Pick'em Format

The Pick'em for Worlds 2023 will be done in three stages: Play-In, Swiss, and Knockout. Each stage has its own set of predictions and points system.

Play-In Stage

The Play-In Stage starts on October 10 and features eight teams divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Swiss Stage. For the Play-In predictions, you have to guess which two teams will advance to the next stage.

Swiss Stage

The Swiss Stage takes place from October 19 to October 29 and includes the two winning teams from the Play-In Stage and 14 other teams. In this stage, you have to predict which eight teams will advance to the Knockout Stage. You can also earn additional points by correctly picking a team that goes 3-0.

Knockout Stage

Once the Swiss Stage is finished and the top eight teams are decided, you can make predictions for the matches in the Knockout Stage. Each correct pick during the Quarterfinals awards 10 points, while correct picks during the Semifinals earn 15 points each. Picking the winner of the World Finals will give you a massive 20 points.

Worlds Pick'em Leaderboard

If you are good enough at your Pick'em predictions, you might be featured in the top 100 players on the Global Leaderboard. You can also create your own leaderboard and play Pick'em with your friends. The leaderboard allows you to monitor your progress and see how many potential Perfect Picks remain.

Tournament Rewards

Compared to previous years, the 2023 Pick'em comes with a larger variety of rewards for both participation and performance. Players can qualify for rewards based on the highest Tier in the two separate categories: Pick'em (Traditional) and Crystal Ball. The rewards are not cumulative and will be awarded based on the highest Tier reached in each respective category.

Participation rewards include emotes and Worlds 2023 capsules. Performance-based Tier rewards range from event tokens and capsules to champion skins and emotes.

The LoL Worlds Pick'em 2023 is an exciting opportunity to test your predictive prowess and earn rewards. Make your predictions in the Crystal Ball, participate in the Pick'em stages, and aim for the top of the leaderboard. Good luck!
