How to Obtain the Blood Surge Rune

To acquire the Blood Surge Rune in World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery, Warriors must embark on the Anyone Can Cook quest chain. The journey begins by obtaining the Illegible Recipe, which drops from Elite Ogres in Stromgarde Keep, located in the Arathi Highlands.

Once you have the Illegible Recipe, head to the southwestern end of the Arathi Highlands and speak with Skonk, an ogre NPC. Skonk will provide you with a follow-up quest that requires you to gather three items:

1. Hybrid Haunch – Dropped by Wild Gryphons in Hillsbrad Foothills.
2. Balmy Brew – Found in the Angor Fortress Basement in the Badlands.
3. Smuggler’s Spice Blend – Located at the bottom of a sunken vessel off the coast of the Arathi Highlands.
4. Viscious Venom – Can be obtained from Spiders in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Among these items, the Balmy Brew is the most challenging to find. However, it can be located below deck as the sole interactable object.

Once you have collected all four items, return to Skonk. Prepare for a battle, as Skonk will attempt to fight you. Defeat him, and you will be rewarded with the coveted Blood Surge Rune.

The Blood Surge Rune is specifically designed for Warriors and greatly enhances their primary mechanic, Rage. When activated, Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, and Whirlwind have a 30 percent chance to trigger a Rage-free Slam attack.

As a Warrior, managing and generating Rage is crucial. The Blood Surge Rune allows you to unleash free attacks without depleting your Rage, enabling you to execute your rotation more frequently and become a more efficient DPS dealer.
